Send from your own Gmail, not a shared pool

Autocloz sends through your mailbox over OAuth. The reputation you build belongs to your domain and follows you if you leave.

Suggested cap

~50 sends per mailbox per day

What it does

Sequences dispatch through your Gmail or Google Workspace account, so messages come from a real mailbox with real history rather than a shared sending service. Replies land in your inbox and are mirrored onto the contact record, and any reply stops the sequence for that contact immediately.

Warmup runs on the same mailbox, ramping volume over roughly 21 days before campaign traffic is allowed to reach full rate.

Setting it up

  1. Add a dedicated sending domain — not your primary company domain — and set up Google Workspace on it.
  2. Publish SPF, DKIM and DMARC for that domain, then verify with a test send.
  3. Connect the mailbox in Autocloz via OAuth. No app password and no IMAP credentials are stored.
  4. Start warmup and leave it for at least 21 days before running campaigns at volume.
  5. Add more mailboxes as needed: divide target daily volume by about 50 to size the number.

Limits worth knowing

  • Google Workspace enforces its own daily send caps, and exceeding them suspends sending regardless of what Autocloz is configured to do.
  • Free consumer Gmail accounts have much lower limits and are not suitable for outbound.
  • A single mailbox sending far above about 50 cold messages a day is a reputation risk even where the technical limit is higher.
  • Google requires DMARC for bulk senders, so p=none at minimum is effectively mandatory.

Common questions

Do you store my Google password?

No. Connection is via OAuth, and access can be revoked from your Google account at any time.

Will this affect my normal email?

It should not, which is exactly why outbound belongs on a separate domain. Keep your primary domain for internal and transactional mail.

How many mailboxes do I need?

Roughly one per 50 daily sends. Two hundred a day means about four warmed mailboxes.
