LinkedIn as a step in the sequence, not a separate tool

Connection requests and messages become sequence steps that branch on intent — and stop when someone opts out on any channel.

What it does

LinkedIn touches sit alongside email, call and SMS steps in the same sequence, so a cadence can open with a connection request, follow with an email, and branch to a call when someone accepts.

Activity is logged to the contact record, and a reply on LinkedIn stops the sequence across every channel just as an email reply would.

Setting it up

  1. Connect your LinkedIn account in Autocloz.
  2. Set daily limits well below LinkedIn's published ceilings — conservative limits are the default for a reason.
  3. Build the sequence with LinkedIn steps interleaved with email and calls.
  4. Use branching so that accepted connections receive a different path from those who do not respond.
  5. Monitor acceptance rate; a falling rate is the earliest signal that targeting is too broad.

Limits worth knowing

  • LinkedIn restricts accounts that automate aggressively, and a restriction affects your personal account, not just the campaign.
  • Weekly invitation limits apply and vary by account age and Sales Navigator status.
  • InMail requires a paid LinkedIn plan and has its own quotas.
  • Automation is against LinkedIn's terms in the strictest reading. Conservative pacing is a risk-reduction measure, not a guarantee.

Common questions

Will my LinkedIn account get restricted?

It is a real risk with any automation. Default limits are deliberately conservative, but nobody can eliminate the risk entirely — treat it as a factor in how you use the channel.

Does a LinkedIn decline suppress email?

Yes. Any opt-out signal writes to the workspace suppression list.

Do I need Sales Navigator?

No, though it raises some limits and improves search. The integration works without it.
