Autocloz + Sinch SMS

Sinch SMS works in Autocloz from the Sinch card in Settings → Integrations. You enter your Sinch service plan ID, API token, from-number and API region (us, eu, br, sg or au), then add the number under SMS → Numbers and click Verify. SMS steps then post batches to Sinch's regional SMS API with your token. It suits teams sending internationally who already use Sinch. Inbound replies need a relay into Autocloz's signed inbound endpoint. See SMS vs email for sales before adding texts to a sequence.

What you can do with Sinch SMS

Sinch SMS plugs into the SMS stack — bring your own sms provider, scoped to your workspace.

Regional endpoints

The region picks the host, for example eu.sms.api.sinch.com. Use the region where your service plan lives.

Plan ID and bearer token

The adapter authenticates with the API token as a bearer and puts the service plan ID in the URL.

Get Sinch SMS credentials
In the Sinch dashboard open SMS → APIs and copy the service plan ID and API token for the plan.

Fill in the Sinch card
Settings → Integrations → SMS → Sinch: service plan ID, API token, from-number, and region.

SMS → Numbers → add the number with provider Sinch, set limits, click Verify.

International sending notes

Rules differ by destination: some countries need a registered sender ID, some block marketing texts at night, and the US needs 10DLC or toll-free verification. Autocloz's quiet hours use the sender's timezone, so for a sender reaching several countries, set its timezone to your main market and check each country's rules with Sinch.

Sinch card fields used for SMS

SMS reads four of the Sinch card's fields:

Service plan ID: part of the request URL.
API token: sent as a bearer token.
From number: the sender.
API region: us, eu, br, sg or au; defaults to us.

Two-way SMS with Sinch

For replies, configure Sinch to post inbound messages to a relay you control. The relay converts each one into Autocloz's inbound format (channel, from, to, body) and signs it with your deployment's inbound secret. Autocloz then finds your workspace from the receiving number, so a number held by two workspaces is refused rather than guessed.

What Autocloz sends to Sinch

Each SMS step makes one batch request with your from-number, the lead's number and the message body. Sinch returns a batch ID, which Autocloz stores as the provider reference. The step only runs after the lead passes quiet hours (20:00 to 09:00 by default for SMS), the DNC list and, if the sender requires it, consent. Templates are limited to 320 characters.

Sinch delivery reports and inbound messages are posted in Sinch's own format, so a relay is needed to feed them to Autocloz's outcomes and inbound endpoints. With it, replies thread in the Unibox and STOP adds the number to DNC.

Sinch voice and WhatsApp are different

The same Sinch card lists voice and WhatsApp, but those two do not work from the card today because they need credentials it does not collect. See the Sinch voice and Sinch WhatsApp pages. SMS is the Sinch channel you can rely on in Autocloz.

What Sinch SMS does not do in Autocloz

No native Sinch inbound or delivery-report webhook.
No number provisioning inside Autocloz.
No sender ID registration for countries that require it; do that with Sinch.

Troubleshooting Sinch SMS

"Sinch api_key + extras.service_plan_id required".: Fill in both fields on the card.
401 from Sinch.: The token and plan ID are from different plans, or the region does not match the plan.
